Week 9 — Celebrating the Mission

March–April Discipleship | The Mission of the Church

Theme: A church that proclaims, reaches, evangelizes, disciples, and restores

Key Text: Psalm 126:3; 2 Corinthians 5:18–20

As we come to the end of this discipleship journey, we arrive at a week of celebration and renewal. We celebrate because God is still at work in His church. We celebrate because the gospel still saves. We celebrate because lives are still being transformed, families restored, and hearts reconciled to God through Jesus Christ.

But this celebration is not passive. It is not merely looking at what God has done in the past; it is gratefully recognizing what He continues to do today and renewing our commitment to keep advancing in His mission. A healthy church proclaims, reaches, evangelizes, disciples, and restores lives for the glory of God.

To celebrate the mission also means recognizing that the fruit belongs to the Lord. We sow, water, serve, and proclaim, but it is God who gives the growth. Therefore, we celebrate with humility. Every soul saved, every life lifted, and every step of obedience is evidence of the grace of the Lord in the midst of His people.

This week invites us to look back with gratitude and forward with determination. We cannot be content with simply having learned; we must continue practicing what we have learned. Mission does not end when a discipleship series is finished. On the contrary, it must be strengthened. What we have studied must now become a way of life.

As Iglesia León de Judá, we want to be a church that does not only talk about mission, but lives it. A church that goes, that loves, that proclaims, that walks with others, that disciples, and that restores. A church that understands that the gospel is not a theory, but the power of God displayed through a community surrendered to Christ.

Application

Today is a day to give thanks and also to recommit ourselves. We can remember what God has spoken to us during these weeks and ask Him to help us live it faithfully. The best way to celebrate the mission is to continue walking in it. Let us keep praying, serving, evangelizing, and discipling with joy.

For Reflection

What has God established in my heart during this discipleship?
In what way will I continue to participate actively in the mission?
Am I willing to persevere with joy in the work of the Lord?

Invitation

If you have followed this discipleship and feel that God has been speaking to your life, do not harden your heart. Today is a fitting day to respond to Jesus Christ. In Him there is salvation, reconciliation, purpose, and a new life. The Lord still calls, still restores, and still transforms.

“The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.”
Psalm 126:3

Closing Prayer

Lord, thank You for what You have spoken to our church during this time. Receive all the glory for every life touched and every truth planted in our hearts. Help us continue living on mission, proclaiming Your gospel, and leading many into a right relationship with You. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
